We have all heard in recent years about machines that will operate on the basis of artificial intelligence. And we hear more and more about new systems that have implemented it.

It has recently been reported that analysts have announced their forecast for the near future that there will be an increased need for automated systems to be used in supermarkets for product sorting and packaging.

These two tasks have been impossible to do by robots in recent years. But now it seems to be reality.

These robots will have sensors to ‘see’, ‘hands’ to perform tasks and an artificial intelligence operating system to sort and package products properly. For example, it will not place bread or eggs under something heavy.

The whole system to develop has cost almost 300 million US dollars. And all this because these machines must perform precision movements.

So far such systems have been used in clothing stores. For supermarkets, however, the system needs to be more developed because the work is more demanding.

It is estimated that in two to three years these machines will replace existing employees.
