The Alcasser girls were three teenage girls from the Alcasser of Valencia, Spain who were abducted, tortured, raped and eventually murdered in 1992.

It was Miriam, Antonia and Desiree who stood by the road to find a car to transport them to a nightclub where their school party would take place.

The case became widespread in Spain due to the brutality of the crime.

The party would take place four kilometers away from the Alcasser, where they lived. A resident of the area saw the three girls getting into a car with some men inside. This was the last time they were seen alive.

The perpetrators were two. Only one was arrested and based on his confession, they took the girls to an abandoned house in a remote area. That was Miguel. The other perpetrator was Antonio.

When they drove past the nightclub, the girls started screaming. Then Antonio hit them to stop.

At the crime scene, the girls were severely tortured and raped. The perpetrators then beat them with batons and stones to kill them.
Then they dug into the ground and threw their dead bodies inside. They were found 75 days after the crime when the rain moved the soil that covered them. Amputations and wounds from sharp objects were found on their bodies.

Miguel was sentenced to 170 years in prison but only spent 21 years there. He was released in 2013. Antonio is still one of Interpol’s wanted men.
