The Hongqi S9 is a Chinese supercar designed in Milan.

The Chinese have the money but do not know the style that is addressed to the western world. That’s why they turned to an Italian designer to create what they needed.

This is none other than Walter De Silva, who has worked with FIAT, Alfa Romeo, VW, Audi, Lamborghini and SEAT.

Silk FAW Automotive wanted to create a supercar to compete with traditional automakers. So in 2019 it presented for the first time its original car in Frankfurt. The ultimate goal was to develop it and build it.

Mr Da Silva said the car’s design strikes a balance between aerodynamics and beauty.

It will be produced in only 70 units and its price is estimated at 1.2 million euros. Production will begin in 2021 and the first cars will be delivered in early 2022.

It has a hybrid system that delivers 1,420hp. Its final speed reaches 400km / h and acceleration to 100km / h is 1.9 seconds.
