The PL-01 is a Polish light tank that was first introduced in 2013. It was built with the help of BAE which is a British weapons company.
Its construction is based on the specifications required by NATO, in order to be able to withstand explosives and mines.
It is also covered with material that absorbs radar waves to be ‘invisible’. At the back there is space for up to four people.
Its crew consists of three people. The driver, the person who supplies the cannon and the weapon as well as the person in charge of the vehicle.
Its cannon can fire up to six rockets per minute. Its weapon can fire up to 400 rounds per minute. The vehicle can even clear mines.
It weighs 30 to 35 tons depending on its equipment. Its length is 7 meters, its width is 3.8 and its height is 2.8.
It is powered by a diesel engine that produces about 1,000 hp. Its maximum speed is 70 kilometers per hour and can be autonomous up to 500 kilometers.
It has cameras for night surveillance as well as thermal image.
