The Cuban capital is the place that combines flavors, Latin nights, culture and architecture. There are various styles which are neoclassical, colonial and baroque. There the people and the visitor can enjoy the excellent quality cigars and the excellent rum.
The most remarkable parts of Havana are.
- Plaza de Almas: in Old Havana there are 3,157 old historic buildings and 74,000 people live there. Since 1982, UNESCO has declared Old Havana a World Heritage Site. Since then, many historic buildings have been restored. There is also the Palace of the Generals (Palacio de los Capitanos Generales) which was built from 1776 to 1791. In front of it there is a wooden sidewalk and in its place is a statue of Christopher Columbus.
- Tropicana Cabaret: Performance with dancers, orchestras and Afro-Cuban bands. It is one of the biggest clubs in the world with spectacular costumes and sets. It is also called “Paradise under the stars”. It has a capacity of 1,050 spectators and has a rotating stage.
- Revolution Square (Plaso de la Revolution): It is dominated by the Monument to Jose Marti, who is considered the Father of the Republic for the Cuban nation and the leader of the Independence Movement. He was killed in 1895 during the Liberation Struggle against Spain.
