German carmaker Porsche has created trucks that can charge its electric models.
They are actually standalone units with high voltage batteries that can charge the company’s only electric model, the Taycan.
Each unit can charge ten cars at a time. So far there are seven such units which are still in the experimental stage and are tested at the company’s Porsche Experience events in various parts of Europe in all weather conditions.
Each one can charge ten cars at a time in fast operation and has energy for 30 cars in total since its power is 3.2 Megawatt. They can also be charged with renewable energy sources such as solar from photovoltaics. They can be fully charged within four hours.
