Climate change has changed the ecosystem of our planet.
The effects of this phenomenon will create bigger problems for poor countries because they do not have the financial means to invest in ways of protection.
In the Caribbean in recent years there are more powerful hurricanes that destroy low-strength homes. Last year there was a record of storms and hurricanes of category 5 which means winds with a speed of 180 miles per hour.
Other countries are creating fortifications for the rising sea level, but this has not had positive results. Cyclones in the seas have increased in intensity in the last 40 years.
In Uganda the problem is heavy rainfall because it creates landslides. The country’s authorities are trying to deal with the phenomenon with tree planting but because it is so intense, it continues to create problems to the extent that entire villages are buried.
Developed countries, on the other hand, are investing enough money to deal with strong phenomena, but this has not yet shown any evidence that it pays off.
Experts say global warming will continue to rise and that the future consequences of climate change need to be assessed so that countries’ politicians can make correct decisions.
