The statue of the Mongol emperor Genghis Khan is located in Mongolia and is 40 meters high. It presents the leader who created the largest territorial empire in history, on his horse. It is the largest statue in the world showing a horseman.

The whole project was completed in 2008 and cost 4.1 million US dollars.

The statue is placed at the point where according to legend the legendary leader found a golden whip.

The statue points to the place of its birth.

The place is called Genghis Khan Statue Complex and under the statue there is a museum where the history of Mongolia is captured with exhibits such as weapons, utensils, tools, clothing etc.

Guests can reach up to the horse’s head to enjoy the view.
