Electric vehicle battery technology is not yet sufficient for a market with many millions of such vehicles.
This means that new technologies must be found to facilitate the way of charging.
The first idea seems to have several prospects and is wireless charging. Today it is applied on a small scale in public places and the big advantage is that the vehicle can be charged when stopped on an inductive charger. It will be more ideal to be widely used for commercial cars since their routes are usually specific so they will be able to charge at specific points. The downside is that it will require huge investments.
The second idea is to change the battery in the car. This method takes minimal time. The battery being removed will be charged for use in another vehicle. The issue is to have the same design for these batteries by the car manufacturers so that this goal can be achieved.
