The US was rich enough country during World War II to invest a lot of money in weapons development.
For the construction of an ‘invisible’ bomber also called Flying Wing, a prototype was presented which was officially the YB-49.
This type of plane would have been intended to bomb Germany starting from American soil. But it never went into production after several technical problems occurred that resulted in accidents.
Nevertheless, based on this design, the B-2 bomber was later developed.
In addition to the USA, both the Soviet Union and Germany were working on the construction of such an aircraft. But only the latter managed to successfully complete such an aircraft which was not mass-produced.
