The European automotive institution voted for the first time a Jeep car as Car of the Year for 2023 in its 60-year history.
The Avenger scored 328 points, while the VW ID Buzz took second place with 241 points. In third place was the Nissan Ariya with 211 points.
The first 7 places were taken by the following cars.

- Kia Niro: 200 points
- Renault Austral: 163 points
- Peugeot 408: 149 points
