Research has shown that 1 in 10 US drinking water systems are contaminated with hazardous chemicals. This affects at least 26 million people.
These chemicals are linked to cancer, immune deficiency, reproductive and developmental problems for children.
The most dangerous of these chemicals are PFOA and PFOS.
Worryingly, the survey is only 7% complete, which means that by the time it’s done, the results will likely be much more worrying.
