The British company BAR Technologies is developing huge sails that can be installed on commercial ships so that their journey does not depend entirely on conventional fuels. In other words, wind energy will also be used to propel the ship.

We understand that this will help reduce fuel consumption and therefore carbon dioxide emissions. It is worth noting that this industry is responsible for 2.1% of global emissions. Experts say that this method will reduce fuel use by 30%.

These sails are 37.5 meters high and are made from the same materials as the turbines so they are durable. They are manufactured in China.
