Concrete manufacturing is one of the world’s major sources of pollution.
Startup CarbonCure Technologies discovered a method to limit carbon emissions, by taking carbon dioxide and injecting it directly into the concrete itself.
This reacts with cement and forms a very hard material, reducing the amount of cement needed.
CarbonCure got financed by Amazon and Microsoft.
