It is an Iranian island in the Persian Gulf.
It is located in the Strait of Hormuz, 8 kilometers off the Iranian coast. It covers an area of 42 Km2.
In 1507, the Portuguese captured the island and they built the fort named Fort of our Lady of the Conception.
There is a museum named Museum of Dr Nadalian with environmental art projects.
It has a forest of pristine nature with mangrove trees, wild birds and many attractions for the tourists.
