Aspasia was born in Miletus of Greece in the 5th century B.C.

She is considered a feminist heroin since she was influencing the famous Athenian politician and general Pericles.

She was a courtesan who fell in love with Pericles and they had a son. She had personality traits that attracted him. He was about 50 and she was more or less 20. They lived together until his death in 429 B.C.

A year later she married another Athenian general.

She was a woman that men listened to. 

She put a lot of effort to help secluded women who lived constrained lives. She also worked as a teacher for other women and girls.
