She is one the first and greatest female explorers.
She was born in 1797 in Austria.
Her first trip was in Holy Land. Then she went to Istanbul, Jerusalem, to Giza and to pyramids.
On her return trip she went to Italy.
She also made trips to Southeast Asia, North and South America, Middle East and Africa.
Between 1846 and 1855, she traveled 32.000 Km by land and 240.000 Km by sea.
She collected plants, insects, molluscs, marine life and minerals.
Her journals were translated into 7 languages.
She passed away in 1858.
