Melatonin is the hormone that regulates sleep. Our bodies produce melatonin when it’s time to sleep to help us fall asleep more easily.
We know that lack of sleep negatively affects our health, body, mind and energy.
Foods that contain melatonin are:
- Sour cherry: Its juice increases melatonin levels even though it contains a lot of sugar. It is better to eat them.
- Eggs: Of the animal products, they are the best source of melatonin.
- Milk: Warm milk is considered a cure for insomnia.
- Fish: Fatty fish such as salmon and sardines.
- Nuts: Especially peanuts and almonds.
