The new Russian Su-75 Checkmate fighter jet will be able to compete with the F-35 fighter jets, the French Rafale, the SAAB Gripens, the Chinese FC-31 and the Eurofighter.

The big challenge for the mentioned aircraft is the price which will range between 25 and 30 million euros. The other mentioned aircrafts are priced from 80 to 100 million.

Its production is expected to start in 2026.

It will have one engine and will be able to fly at speeds up to 2 Mach (speed of sound). Its range will be up to 3,000 kilometers. It will also operate with artificial intelligence systems.

Russia’s goal is to offer a cheaper option for an advanced aircraft. The reason it is cheaper, is because its technology has already been used. Potential buyers will be India, China, Argentina, Vietnam and the UAE.

For the western countries it will be a big danger for the 4th generation planes as well as for the F-35. It will be able to attack 6 targets at the same time and will have stealth ability.

An unmanned version is likely to be built in the future.
