The negative effects of climate change are well known. That is why we must know that this phenomenon has a very negative effect on animals as well. It affects their fertility, their health, their mortality and consequently their behavior. And the worrying thing is that this is getting worse over time.
The Arctic is ‘warming’ at twice the rate of the planet’s average, forcing the animals living there to change their way of living. Some birds of the cold climate, leave their nests to enter the sea so that they do not heat up, as a result of which their newborns are endangered by other animals.
In hot climates many animals can not survive the high temperatures. Even animals that survive by hunting become more vulnerable to disease as they can no longer find enough food. Besides, they are forced to stay in a shady place for a long time and do not have enough time for hunting.
And the most worrying thing is that bees, which are the most important species in the ecosystem, can not survive in hot climates.
