Drinking coffee and tea reduces the risk of having a stroke and dementia. Strokes are very dangerous for our lives, accounting for 10% of deaths worldwide, as is dementia, which is associated with poor brain function. These two have both social and economic implications.

People who drink 2 to 3 cups of coffee a day or 3 to 5 cups of tea or 4 to 6 cups of both drinks, reduce the risk of having a stroke or developing dementia, compared to people who do not consume any coffee or tea.
