This huge hovercraft was built by the Russian company Almaz Shipbuilding to carry out amphibious military missions.
Currently only three countries have it. Russia, Ukraine and Greece. The first has three, the second two and the third four. Even China intends to buy four.
It is built in St. Petersburg and is capable of carrying weapon systems, tanks, vehicles and 360 soldiers. It can carry a total of 130 tons of cargo. Its staff is 33 people. It has four missile launchers, two rocket launchers and two automatic weapons on deck.
It produces energy from four gas turbines. With this energy, four blowers work to inflate the ‘cushion’ of the boat but also to operate the three propellers with a diameter of 5.5 meters, located at the stern to push the boat. It can develop speeds up to 60 knots.
