The US government has decided to initially help 3 tribes at risk from climate change.
The amount to be given is $75 million and will be split equally. In particular, these tribes must leave the place where they live and find another place to live.
The places where they are now are near rivers or near the sea and face the problem of rising water levels. So they have to move to places with higher altitude.
The dangers inherent in this situation are intense flooding and soil erosion.
The plan also includes future financial assistance for 8 other tribes with 5 million dollars for each.
