Shell has acquired Volta, the largest electric car charging network in the US

Oil company Shell fully acquired Volta for $169 million.

This includes over 3,000 charging points in 31 US states as well as some in Germany and France.

Volta is the second electric vehicle charging network acquired by Shell.

These stations are located in malls, supermarkets and other public areas.

With this acquisition, Shell now has 57,000 charging points.
