Giverny is a commune in Normandy, France.
It is known for the home of Claude Monet who was a great French painter. This house with its garden is now a museum.
The tourist would do well to visit the Museum of Impressionism and the Hotel Baudy which was a center of fine arts and today is a cafe and restaurant.
The church dates from the Middle Ages and is of Roman type.
