It was 1931 when 9 juvenile blacks were arrested for raping 2 women. Their ages range from 13 to 19.
8 of the 9 were sentenced to death. The long process, which divided the opinion of the Americans since there seemed to be strong racism and the failure of the judicial system of the country. The judges were all white.
Many years later it appeared that all those convicted were innocent.
