The reason for this is because there are concerns that European citizens’ plastic waste is not fully recycled and ends up in landfills and canals in the poor countries where it is sent.

The European Union wants to take responsibility for its waste in order to limit the destruction of the environment.

Waste in general is beneficial if used properly but is very harmful when not handled properly, resulting in environmental damage and human health effects.

For this there must be ideal laws that carry out the correct recycling of these plastics, only when the countries that receive them meet the right criteria. It is known that only 1/3 of them are recycled properly. The rest is simply discarded.
