A Chinese experimental reusable spaceplane has been using a smaller spacecraft to test proximity operations. It has released it into orbit to test rendezvous operations.
Such operations could be useful for retrieving and maintaining satellites or for operations against adversary’s spacecraft.
China has maintained strict secrecy around the mission so the authorities did not release any images or descriptions.
