It will be called Oxagon and it will be the largest structure that will be built on the surface of the sea. It will have an octagonal shape and will be 455 times larger than Manhattan. It will operate on environmentally friendly energy and with the use of robots and artificial intelligence.
The cost will be 8.4 billion US dollars and it will produce 600 tons of hydrogen every day, which will reduce 5 million tons of CO2 emissions annually. As a port it will contribute to the development of the country’s trade.
This will be part of the new ‘smart’ city being planned, Neom City which will aim for sustainable development.
To achieve the project, 23 local and international banks and investment companies collaborated.
