SkyDive is the flying car of the Japanese Toyota which performed a test flight, in the flight test area of the company, after years of design and work.
The flight was made with a passenger who was also the operator of the vehicle. We must mention that this vehicle will not be in a standalone version.
It is the smallest VTOL (vertical take-off and landing) that has been created to date.
Its purpose is to have a new means of transport in densely populated cities to reduce car congestion on the roads but also to reduce travel time. There is still a plan to have such taxis.
Now the company is waiting to get a license to be able to fly its vehicle outside its flight control area.
By 2023 it is expected that there will be a version with two seats that will be for commercial purposes.
It has eight motors so that it can fly safely even if one of them is damaged.
