The small town of Leavenworth is located in the US state of Washington.
The character of the city center is based entirely on Bavaria, Germany. Also many streets and buildings have German names. And since 1998 the well-known folk festival Oktoberfest is takes place every year.
It is a tourist place with visitors being there all year round. Festival events are a very common phenomenon with the attendees having a great time.
In summer the climate is warm with sunny days but cold nights. In winter it is usually snowy and very cold.
